Description
Ensures fast, secure access to all medications, manages schedules and refills, monitors safety, educates patients, and coordinates with multiple physicians to streamline complex prescription regimens. Manages and audits clinical pharmacy regimens.
Duties
- Oversee the entire home delivery operation for prescriptions and OTCs.
- Conduct comprehensive medication counselling for clients at their homes or via teleconsultation.
- Verify prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and transportation of medications.
- Manages the complexity of NCD drug regimens, performs drug interaction checks, and educates the patient/family on adherence to prevent complications.
Availability
Must be available for on-call duty and potential night/weekend shifts to manage cases. Requires strong ability to handle high-stress situations and urgent deadlines.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) from a recognized institution.
- Current, valid professional license from the Pharmacy Council of Ghana.
- Minimum 2-3 years of post-registration experience in retail pharmacy or hospital pharmacy.
- Strong counselling and communication skills.
- Knowledge of NEPP (National ePharmacy Platform) regulations.
- Clinical Pharmacy, Polypharmacy Review, Specialty Drug Sourcing.
